When there was no Kryptonite….

Chasing the Faraway

A Mirage…

A time…..

When I would Challenge Freight Trains to Duels…

I dodged bullets with a smile…

Tall buildings were stepping stones…

The Yellow Sun warmed my Bones and I held it deep

inside Me

It kept me warm through the nights….

I bent iron girders into Horseshoes..

But, I didn’t need Luck….

I bent frowns into grins…..

I could melt a frozen heart with My gaze…

I laughed at the rain….

and death and despair were only ever distant stars

on that Horizon…

A time…

When there was no Kryptonite.

Oh for that time once again!

  2. Can relate except you say it so much more prettily, of course. 🙂

A beautiful reminder of our indestructible years of youth. What a gorgeous imagery you paint with each verse. Loved it!

  5. I just wanted to say… I looked at my phone and it says I’m not following you anymore. I don’t know how that happened. If it pops up, just want you to know. Thinking of you and your sister. ❤️

Yes, sometimes when all is going well we feel unbreakable and then something a bit tougher than what we’re used to handling comes our way and we can go belly up so to speak
