Where She Walks…..

Darkness flows over this world
But where She walks
The Shadows retreat
As if Her touch
had The power to Unmake them

I have Made a deal with Heaven
That I shall return Their Angel
And be forever Damned To Hell
To know Her touch
For one Heartbeat

and then I will sit here By the Water
Cast My Shield And My Armor Aside
And dream of A time
when our Worlds
could have Existed, together

For There is no place on My Soul
Where Her Beautiful Penmanship
Has not yet Written
Continuing verses
Of Our Collaborative Ode

and I have thrown my Heart and My Fists
Against this glass Wall between Us
so violently and so often
that in the crimson stains that have
formed, I see my sanity unraveled.

Our duet
Though separated by lightyears
of distance, Time and heartbroken silence
is the master thread that binds my Mind
back together

returning My heart

to Earth

Beautiful write Eric. The glass reference made me think about a song by Zazie. I shall post it when I get to my laptop

  3. A true bard — a skald for the ages, my friend. I agree with Rita — in the groove and on a roll!
