Revelations…

artist unknown

artist Sarah Maas

The day the sky fell
was the last day
the first day
she stepped from the shadows
and stood
in the ruddy glow
of the horizon on fire
with a sigh
that echoed the voices
of a thousand screaming angels
she wore the light
like a suit of armor
and with her heart
safe
behind sheets of steel
she stood
her face turned to heaven
and shed no tears
for the coming
apocalypse
because in its wake
promised
the healing of scars
